Ebony: It was because I had a tumor in December 2007
Interviewer: What were some of the obstacles you encountered?
Ebony: I had 5 major surgeries at UCONN. I was put in a medically induced coma for 3 months, because I had a ventricular cyst in my brain, lastly, I had to have a shunt put in my brain to drain the fluids.
Interviewer: What motivated you to keep going?
Ebony: My mother, Father, Children and though I lost my sister during that time her memory was a major motivation for me.
Interviewer: How did P.G. help you?
Ebony: Before P.G. I couldn’t do things like getting out to take care of my own personal business, they allowed me necessary transportation and I also have been able to go to different social events, like the luncheon in Ellington, and I’ve gone to a Valentine’s Day Dance and different groups they had going on.
Interviewer: What would you like to tell anyone else who is going through similar things you have gone through?

SURVEY RESPONSE
My favorite season is spring because it’s not too cold or too hot outside. The trees are just starting to bud, and they are beautiful to look at. Flowers are starting to bloom, and I get to be outside all day. Everything is green and bright. Thank you Casey Albert!!!
