Survivor Story of the Month: Interview With Colin Armour

Question: When did you acquire your brain injury?

Answer: Approximately in June of 1992.

Question: What were some of your initial obstacles?

Answer: Waking up from a coma.

Question: What were the things or people who motivated you?

Answer: My father.

Question: How has P.G. helped?

Answer: Socializing with others who understand and who have been there and socializing with others that are there.

Question: What words of advice would you like to encourage someone who has just acquired ABI?

Answer: Believe in a higher power, and if you don’t believe, you must know you came from somewhere. If it can’t get any worse, it can only get better.

GRILLED CHEESE

INGREDIENTS
4 slices white bread
2 slices Cheddar cheese
3 tablespoons butter, divided

DIRECTIONS
1. Preheat skillet over medium heat.

2. Generously butter one side of a slice of bread.

3. Butter a second slice of bread on one side and place butter-side-up on top of sandwich.

4. Grill until lightly browned and flip over; continue grilling until cheese is melted.

5. Repeat with remaining 2 slices of bread, butter and slice of cheese.
